Spring Cleaning Tips | Easy Spring Cleaning Ideas 1 of 2

Ahhh, Spring Cleaning time is right around the corner. A great time of the year to clean out the house of unwanted clutter and spruce up areas of your home that may have been neglected during the winter. Whether you are the type of person to deep spring clean the whole house, or are thinking to yourself, "what's spring cleaning?" I have some easy tips to help you get started in this 2 part blog series!

Did you know, there are ways to make cleaning large areas easier and more efficient? What if I told you with one simple trick, I could make cleaning your windows, couches, fireplaces or showers look like you hired a professional?

When cleaning large areas of space, whether it be a spilled drink on the carpet or the entire shower, START SMALL. Most people, when cleaning large areas use big strokes wiping their cloth from one side of the shower enclosure to the next. If you have a hard to clean area, although this may seem faster, it won't actually clean your surface and you are stuck doing it over.

When professionals clean, they work in small 1 to 2 foot areas at a time (for large surfaces like windows and showers) or small 5-6 inch areas (for spot cleaning or stains). Using smaller, tighter strokes your cleaning is more efficient and more successful at getting rid of dirt and grime.

If you have a carpet stain, try dividing it into 4 small sections and work with short 5-6 inch strokes, you will be amazed at the difference that one little change makes in how clean your stain comes.
