How to Remove Grease Stains in Denim Jeans

Denim blue jeans absorb stains quickly, and stains are very hard to remove from jeans; especially grease stains. Anyone in the auto industry, marine industry or a handyman or women around the house knows how easy it is to get grease stains on jeans even when you're being careful not too. Did you know Quick n Brite is great at removing grease stains, even set in stains that have gone through the washer and dryer! In fact, Quick n Brite is such a great clothing stain remover that we have a 100% guarantee to remove any set in stains in clothing and upholstery except permanent dye, dried paint and rust. And we've had that guarantee since 1952!

If you find your blue jeans with a grease stain, it is easiest to remove the stain before they have gone through the washer and dryer (although not necessary).

1. Wet the stained area with water.
2. Using a damp terry cloth or your fingers towel apply Quick n Brite paste or liquid full strength to stained area. {Remember Quick n Brite is environmentally safe, non-toxic and has no harmful chemicals so it is okay to get on your skin!)
3. Trap the cleaner in between the stained area and hold the fabric on either side of the stain, then rub cleaner into stain briskly using the fabric of your blue jeans.
4. Rinse and repeat if necessary.
5. If the stain is set in, or very stubborn, after repeating steps 2-4 soak your blue jeans in a heavy solution of diluted Quick n Brite overnight (2/3 cup per one gallon of hot water, or 3 tablespoons to 1 quart hot water) then machine wash your blue jeans to remove any remaining stain. If stain is not completely removed, do not put your blue jeans in the dryer! Repeat steps 2-5 once more.

How to Clean A Kids Playhouse, Non-Toxic, Safe Cleaners

Kids plastic playhouses, tool sheds and deck boxes made from plastic are all very hard surfaces to clean & maintain. They take on the full effects of the weather year round and can grow dirty with moss, mildew, algae and dirt. Luckily, Quick n Brite provides a quick and safe way to clean your plastic playhouses & tool sheds without using harmful, toxic chemicals.

The first step to cleaning a kids plastic playhouse or tool shed is to use a high pressured garden hose and rinse off as much of the debris and build up as possible.

Then, mix 1 cup of Quick n Brite Cleaner to 5 gallons of water. Use a stiff bristle brush and apply the cleaner full strength to your wet playhouse surface in short 5 or 6 inch motions.

Let the cleaner sit for 10 minutes (out of direct sun if possible) then use a garden hose to rinse the plastic playhouse clean.

For tough to clean spots, use Quick n Brite full strength and apply with a stiff bristle brush, then let sit 10 minutes before rinsing.

Quick n Brite is non-toxic & biodegradable and will not harm any surface water can touch. It is safe to clean plastic playhouses sitting in a yard and will not kill any grass that the product may run onto.

Spring Cleaning Tips for 5 Tough to Clean Areas

Spring Cleaning time is here! Only the people here at Quick 'n Brite could be excited about the idea of cleaning areas in your home that may often have been overlooked. We know you are busy and sometimes messes get built up a little more than normal. That is why Quick 'n Brite is the perfect "Spring Cleaning Product" for the tough to clean areas and there are no harmful fumes or chemicals so you don't have to worry about using Quick 'n Brite around your pets or family.

1. The shower and tub.

Especially if you live in warm climate areas, or have a bathroom without great ventilation, mold and mildew are a constant struggle to keep clean in bathrooms. It often gets built up in the grout and caulking areas of the shower and tub. To clean a shower with hard water stains, soap film, mold or mildew use your Quick 'n Brite paste full strength with a wet sponge or 0000 steel wool (the finest grade so it won't scratch). Apply the Quick 'n Brite to a wet shower surface and let the product sit for 15-30 minutes. If your shower enclosure is tough to clean, after the 30 minutes, reapply your Quick 'n Brite full strength again with a wet sponge then rinse clean with warm water. Although a tough to clean shower may take a bit of elbow grease to get clean, there are no toxic chemicals and harmful fumes that you are inhaling while cleaning. Quick 'n Brite is safe for your lungs, and many people with asthma tell us it is the only product they can use.

 2. The Toilets

This is another area in the household that gets used daily and therefore gets dirty very quickly. You will especially notice water stains and rings in your toilet bowl if you are on well water or have a lot of minerals in your city water. To deep clean your toilet bowl, turn the water off and flush the toilet so the bowl does not refill with water. Apply Quick n Brite paste full strength with a stiff bristle brush and let the product sit for 15-30 minutes. If you have bad hard water rings in your toilet, after 30 minutes reapply Quick 'n Brite again before turning back on the water and flushing the toilet.

3. Indoor and Outdoor Windows

Outdoor Windows: Guaranteed, you will not find a better cleaning product on the market than Quick 'n Brite to clean your outdoor windows with. Because of our patented water softening agents you do not need to squeegee or hand dry your windows after cleaning, cutting a difficult and time consuming task in half!

To clean outdoor windows, on a cool day or out of direct sunlight, wet the surface, than apply Quick 'n Brite heavy solution with a wet sponge  (Mix 2/3 cup of Quick 'n Brite Liquid with 1 gallon of HOT water) then rinse clean with a hose. The longer the product can sit on the windows, the better job it will do of cleaning the surface, however, you want to make sure and rinse off your windows before the product dries. (It will not harm your windows if it does dry on them, but you may have to use a sponge and water to rinse them off instead of simply hosing them clean).

Indoor Windows: Mix 1 teaspoon of Quick 'n Brite to 1 quart of water then spray windows and wipe clean with a dry microfiber cloth, newspaper or paper towel. If streaking occurs your solution is too strong, dump out a quarter of the solution and refill with water!

4. Sofas (Leather, microfiber or upholstery)

These are a great item to clean annually and one area of the house you never think of as dirty, until you clean it and can't believe the difference! As with all fabrics: SPOT CHECK FOR COLOR-FAST BEFORE APPLYING ANY CLEANERS AND FOLLOW MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS.

To use a carpet cleaning machine or steam cleaner, mix 1 cup Quick 'n Brite liquid to 5 gallons of water then follow your machines instructions for cleaning. You can also use this same solution in a spray bottle and spray the arm and head rests of your couch, then use a dry terry cloth towel to buff the materials clean. If the upholstery is machine washable, add 1 ounce of Quick 'n Brite to your washing machine when cleaning the couch upholstery for an extra stain fighting boost.

5. Kitchen Cabinets

Quick 'n Brite is a great product to use on wood cabinets (as well as hardwood floors). Use the Quick 'n Brite heavy solution (3 tablespoons to 1 quart of HOT water), spray cabinets then wipe clean with a dry terry cloth towel or microfiber cloth. For extra grimy areas like above the oven range, or a cabinet you use daily, you can also use Quick 'n Brite full strength with a non-abrasive sponge. Apply the cleaner directly out of the container with a wet, non-abrasive sponge and work the cleaner around in short 5-6 inch motion, then wipe clean with a dry terry cloth towel.

How to Clean Ceramic and Glass Stovetops

When it comes to cleaning a ceramic or glass stovetop, most people associate it with elbow grease, impossible to clean burnt on rings and a white film that they can never get clean! Working in the cleaning industry I hear from so many people who love to cook on their glass stovetop, and hate to clean them! I was thrilled when our ceramic cook top was installed, and I found out first hand why so many people were frustrated when it came to cleaning their glass cook top. After testing the standard cleaner bought in the store, I could not believe how much ELBOW GREASE it took to get the glass stove top clean, I thought I was going to scrub the finish right off my ceramic cook top! Plus, after all that scrubbing, there was a film left behind that I couldn't seem to get off.

After testing the (very expensive) store bought stove top cleaner, I gave my Quick n Brite a try and was much happier with the results.

If you have cooked on or burnt rings on your stove top that are hard to remove:

First, we'll start with a few details about your sponge. You want to make sure and use a non-abrasive sponge NOT a SOS pad, steel wool or green scotch brite pad. These will scratch the surface of your stovetop and remove the finish over time. Look for a sponge with a white "scrubbing side," many even say "non-abrasive" or "won't scratch surfaces" on the sponge.

You can purchase this 4 pack of industrial sponges HERE for $6.95

Once you have the correct sponge, get it WET then apply a dime size amount of Quick n Brite over the entire stove top surface. You do not need to use a lot of cleaner. For the areas that are very hard to clean, give them a good scrubbing and LET THE CLEANER SIT about 10 minutes on the stove top. After 10 minutes, come back with your wet sponge and wipe the glass cook top down again, then use a dry terry cloth towel, microfiber cloth or paper towel to dry the stove top.

If there are still burnt areas, use your wet sponge again with a small amount of cleaner and apply it to the cooked on areas, then turn the burner on low for 10 seconds, (using extreme caution!!) then wipe the area off. The heat from the stove top helps remove the burnt rings. Note: Do not use store bought cleaners on warm stovetops! Quick n Brite is all natural and non-toxic so it will not harm you, or your stovetop, the same cannot be said for many commercial cleaners.

If you are cleaning as general maintenance:

Mix 1 teaspoon of Quick n Brite to a quart of hot water. This solution cost about 10 cents, and is even cheaper than using vinegar, baking soda or many other homemade cleaners! Spray the stovetop and wipe it clean with a dry terry cloth towel, microfiber cloth or paper towel.

How to Clean Grass Stains in Clothing and Shoes

The inevitable grass stain. No one can go an entire summer without at least one grass stain on their clothing or shoes. Especially if you have children at home, then you can't go an entire week without a grass stain! Although grass stains can be very difficult to clean, the good news is that grass stains can be removed using Quick 'n Brite.

If you find yourself or your children's laundry covered with grass stains the best thing to do is pre-treat them before they go through the washer and dryer. Although Quick 'n Brite will still remove a grass stain if it is set in (gone through the washer and dryer,) it is a much easier stain to remove if you catch it before the wash cycle.

Step 1: Wet the material down first with hot water. Grass stains are considered a "dye" stain, so hot water is best.

Step 2: Apply Quick 'n Brite paste full strength directly onto the grass stained area then fold the material trapping the stained area and cleaner in between the pieces of fabric. Rub the fabric together briskly to work the cleaner into the stain.

Step 3: About 90% or more of the stain should be removed after Step 2. If not, let the material sit for 10 minutes, apply more Quick 'n Brite, than rub the fabric together briskly again.

Step 4: If stain is 90% or more removed proceed to Step 5, if not, mix 2 tablespoons of Quick 'n Brite Liquid or Paste to 1 quart of HOT water and let material soak in solution overnight.

Step 5: If material is machine washable, run the clothing through the washing machine as you normally would. Check to make sure stain is fully removed before drying fabric. If the stain is not completely removed, repeat Step 4 before rewashing fabric.
