How to Clean Ceramic and Glass Stovetops

When it comes to cleaning a ceramic or glass stovetop, most people associate it with elbow grease, impossible to clean burnt on rings and a white film that they can never get clean! Working in the cleaning industry I hear from so many people who love to cook on their glass stovetop, and hate to clean them! I was thrilled when our ceramic cook top was installed, and I found out first hand why so many people were frustrated when it came to cleaning their glass cook top. After testing the standard cleaner bought in the store, I could not believe how much ELBOW GREASE it took to get the glass stove top clean, I thought I was going to scrub the finish right off my ceramic cook top! Plus, after all that scrubbing, there was a film left behind that I couldn't seem to get off.

After testing the (very expensive) store bought stove top cleaner, I gave my Quick n Brite a try and was much happier with the results.

If you have cooked on or burnt rings on your stove top that are hard to remove:

First, we'll start with a few details about your sponge. You want to make sure and use a non-abrasive sponge NOT a SOS pad, steel wool or green scotch brite pad. These will scratch the surface of your stovetop and remove the finish over time. Look for a sponge with a white "scrubbing side," many even say "non-abrasive" or "won't scratch surfaces" on the sponge.

You can purchase this 4 pack of industrial sponges HERE for $6.95

Once you have the correct sponge, get it WET then apply a dime size amount of Quick n Brite over the entire stove top surface. You do not need to use a lot of cleaner. For the areas that are very hard to clean, give them a good scrubbing and LET THE CLEANER SIT about 10 minutes on the stove top. After 10 minutes, come back with your wet sponge and wipe the glass cook top down again, then use a dry terry cloth towel, microfiber cloth or paper towel to dry the stove top.

If there are still burnt areas, use your wet sponge again with a small amount of cleaner and apply it to the cooked on areas, then turn the burner on low for 10 seconds, (using extreme caution!!) then wipe the area off. The heat from the stove top helps remove the burnt rings. Note: Do not use store bought cleaners on warm stovetops! Quick n Brite is all natural and non-toxic so it will not harm you, or your stovetop, the same cannot be said for many commercial cleaners.

If you are cleaning as general maintenance:

Mix 1 teaspoon of Quick n Brite to a quart of hot water. This solution cost about 10 cents, and is even cheaper than using vinegar, baking soda or many other homemade cleaners! Spray the stovetop and wipe it clean with a dry terry cloth towel, microfiber cloth or paper towel.

Try a 1 year supply of Quick n Brite for only $24.95

How to Remove Stains from Leather

If you're reading this, that means you probably have a stain in leather that you are trying to clean (or are looking for great cleaning tips to simplify your life!) You've come to the right place. Whether you have leather tennis shoes, leather couches, leather upholstery in your car, a leather saddle or a leather purse or jacket, Quick n Brite is the answer to removing stains from any leather surface. Quick n Brite has been family owned and operated since 1952 and sold in over 40 countries worldwide. It has a 100% satisfaction guarantee to remove ANY set in stain, no matter how long it has been there except rust, dried paint, and permanent dye.

To clean your leather stain the first thing you want to do is check the area for colorfast and follow manufacturers specifications. Depending on the severity of the stain, how long it has been there and size of the stain there are a few different ways to approach cleaning your leather.

If you are cleaning a large area:

For example, someone spilled coffee, soda or wine on your leather couch, or it is worn from dirt and body oils. Start by mixing 3 tablespoons of Quick n Brite to 1 quart of HOT water (to help dissolve the cleaner) to make your cleaning solution. Use a dry terry cloth towel or microfiber towel to wipe up as much of liquid/stained area as possible, then spray a damp terry cloth towel with your Quick n Brite cleaning solution and begin buffing it into the leather in short 5 to 6 inch strokes until you see the stain lift. Once the stain is completely removed, use a dry terry cloth towel and buff over the area again in short 5 to 6 inch motions to pull out any remaining stain so it does not return.

If you are cleaning a small stain:

If you have a crayon mark on your leather purse, or smudge on your leather wallet you can also use Quick n Brite full strength to remove stains in leather. Always check fabric first for colorfast, then apply Quick n Brite paste or liquid directly out of the container with a wet non-abrasive sponge or damp terry cloth towel.

How to Clean Antique Porcelain Dolls

You were probably brought to this site because sitting in front of you is a beautiful, but dusty, antique porcelain doll and you are wondering where to begin. The good news is, you've come to the right place! We'll show you some quick and easy ways to get your China Dolls looking brand new with Quick n Brite. Quick n Brite's unique formula is non-toxic, biodegradable and safe on the most delicate surfaces, like your ceramic doll, her clothing and hair.
The first step is to remove as much dust as possible. One of my favorite ways is to use an aerosol spray meant to clean your keyboard, they can be purchased online or at your local drugstore. Before spraying your doll, spray your hand to see how strong the air stream is, and make sure no moisture comes out of the spray canister. You want to be gentle with the ceramic doll and don't need a lot of pressure. Remove the dolls clothing, to dust that off separately then holding the canister an appropriate length away from the doll, gently spray her to remove excess dust, then spray her clothing. Be very careful with the dolls hair, a stream of air too strong can break her curls.
Now that a good portion of the dust is removed from the Ceramic doll we can begin to clean the remaining staining and residue. Mix 1 teaspoon of Quick n Brite Liquid or Paste to 1 quart of hot water to make a cleaning solution. Lightly spray a dry terry cloth towel or microfiber cloth with the solution and clean a small area of the doll first to test for colorfast, then begin wiping the doll clean. Using caution, you can also wipe the dolls hair or feathers on an Indian Doll. You can use the same technique to clean the dolls clothes as well. If the doll is extremely dirty, moldy or smells of mildew or cigarette smoke, you will have to spray more cleaner onto your cloth to dampen it to cut through the layers of buildup.
After you have an overall clean of your porcelain doll you can begin a meticulous cleaning if needed. Dip a Q-tip into the light solution of Quick n Brite and clean the small cracks and fine details of your China doll that weren't able to be reached by the cloth. This technique may be needed to clean black marks off your porcelain dolls face, or spots of mold and mildew as well.

Now you can proudly display your beautiful, clean ceramic doll collection!

How to Clean Coffee Stains from Carpet & Upholstery

With the holiday's right around the corner, we all find ourselves tidying up the house for the arrival of friends and family, but what about the stains that appear during the holidays? With overnight guests, there are likely to be many pots of coffee brewed Christmas Morning. Let's face it; no matter how careful guests are, there will be coffee spilled. Quick 'n Brite quickly and easily removes coffee stains from carpet, clothing and upholstery.
Step 1: Use a dry terry cloth towel to soak up as much of the coffee as possible. Terry cloth is the best material to use for absorbency.

Step 2: Using a damp terry cloth towel, apply Quick 'n Brite paste full strength to the stained area. Use short 5 or 6 inch motion to rub back and forth over the spill until the stain disappears.

Step 3: Use a clean damp terry cloth towel and rub over the stain 4 or 5 times, then use a DRY terry cloth towel to buff over the stained area until no more coffee stain is pulled from the surface.  This last step is very important to guarantee that the stain does not return!

Step 4: Return to your holiday festivities!

Always remember to check your material for colorfast and follow manufacturer's specifications before applying any cleaners. Quick 'n Brite is safe on any surface water can touch, 100% eco-friendly, non-toxic and biodegradable.
